We are so sad that we cannot journey together to Lourdes again this year. However, we can live the spirit and message of Lourdes in our own homes. We warmly invite you to join us on this year's Ampleforth Virtual Lourdes Pilgrimage from 16th-23rd July 2021.

This year we have tried to bring Virtual Pilgrims all the highlights of our usual programme in Lourdes, in new and interactive ways that help us all to build a strong, inclusive and supportive community of prayer. The week will be packed full of various activities which people are welcome to dip in and out of during the week.

Highlights this year include:

  • Daily Mass live streamed on our YouTube channel, from Ampleforth, Lourdes, Edinburgh and the USA

  • A daily talk from a Pilgrimage Chaplain, available to watch live or on catch up

  • Regular opportunities to pray the Rosary and Lectio Divina together

  • Social activities including Café Society and the virtual Ward Party

  • *New! Candlelit Rosary*, bringing the Torchlight Procession from Lourdes to our own homes

  • *New! Stations of the Cross*, via Zoom, led by Pilgrimage Members and including Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament

  • *New! A Children’s Programme*, where children and grandchildren of pilgrimage members, aged 10 and under, can come together in fun ways to learn more about Lourdes and the message of Our Lady. With interactive sessions on Zoom and a booklet of activities for children to do with their parents at home.

Whether it has been two or twenty years since you last went on Pilgrimage to Lourdes with Ampleforth, we encourage you to make this virtual journey with us. All activities are free to access, and if you or someone you know, struggles with technology we have an enthusiastic group of young volunteers who would be very happy to help.

To join us for as much or as little of the week as you would like please register by 1st July 2021
